Six Days

Only six days more till I fly to Australia! Its interesting how anticipation makes your senses seem heightened. As if your body is trying to absorb every experience it can. It has made me more aware of things at work. Especially since God has been so good. Its really at a ministry like COH, where God's love touches the less fortunate, that you see God working. You see the strengths of people being developed and their limitations covered by His grace.

This week there was no food being prepared for our clients because the cook's parent had passed away. So the clients had to be brought out for lunch. The teachers had to buy food for those who couldn't leave the centre due to physical handicap.

So anyway, according to my colleague, a stranger just called up intending to donate rice and biscuits to our centre. He was asking if we needed any other supplies. My colleague then explained the situation to him and he offered to sponsor lunch for the activity centre for the rest of the week! The generosity of people still continues to inspire me. God still continues to amaze me,

I've been seeing generosity and the character of God reflected in many people this week. I've been put in many new situations and I'm amazed at how Christ in me handles it. The Grace of God with me.

~~~ Love Song ~~~
Where can I go where can I run from You
You’re everywhere
You know all my thoughts You see through my ways
And still You come to me
So I sing a love song to You
From Heaven above on earth down beneath
Your love rains down on me
You know all my thoughts
You see through my skin
And still You come to me
So I sing a love song to You
You walk on waves
You run with clouds
You paint the sky for me to see
Your majesty, Your majesty is why I sing
This is a love song to You
My life’s a love song to You
Our Greatest Fear
Tuesday, June 10, 2008 · 0 comments
Graduation on Saturday made me ask this question...
How in the world did God get me to where I am today?
People say that hindsight is 20/20. But to me, I'm still amazed regularly by God. I still can't see how He did it. I still don't understand how its possible that I'm here serving Him in church and in COH. People say, "Daryl, you've grown up! You've sacrificed so much! You've changed!"
And I say, "I have?"
In my own eyes, I am still an 18 year old who decided to serve God. I decided to because of how amazingly nice He's been to me. People like me don't change... We are transformed. Simply by hanging around in God's presence, we are renewed. I'm just loving Him. Sacrifices? What sacrifices? I just followed Jesus.
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some, it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
